ESSEX CARP BAITS is the brain child of Simon Bear and Andy Wright. Together they have over 70 years angling experience, with a sound grounding  in float fishing as children, progressing to carp fishing after a few years of fishing together.

This was a time of cat food cheese and sausage meat and the first appearance of the hair rig.

All the way through their fishing they have kept to one idea and that is quality. Always endeavoring to use the best bait ingredients available (you only get what you pay for).

After being involved with established bait companies, learning the art and process of bait making, the knowledge and skills are now being put to great use developing the great baits of the future.

The learning continues, using information and fish growth studies from as far away as Japan, to produce the best carp bait possible, with a balanced nutrition for an optimum growth in carp, ECB's first concern is the health and well being of the most imoprtant thing to us all The Fish.
