TONY PRAYEL—M.I.F.M

CONSULTANT

I have been fishing since I was eight years old Tony Prayeland fishing solely for carp for the past 30 years.  I began on local carp waters in a time when everything was secret so I had to learn on my own two feet from day one.  I caught my first 30lb plus fish from a lake that contained 8 carp in 1983 and from then on have pretty much fished waters that could not be classed as easy such as Johnson’s Road and Island and Railway Lake, Little Easton Manor, Redmire Pool, Private Syndicates etc.  When my children were young I went back to fishing local waters, but never in the popular swims, just the ones others avoided.  Today I mostly fish Aquatels, where I work, and I am looking forward to the  coming year on Yateley North Lake.  My annual holiday is spent on a difficult lake in Belgium (I like a challenge).  For those that are interested in such things my PB is a common of 51lb.

I am a qualified Fishery Manager/Consultant and I am a registered member of the Institute of  Fisheries Management (IFM), Regional Organiser for the English Carp Heritage Organisation (ECHO), I also sat on the original steering committee of ECHO.  I am a member of the British Carp Study Group (BCSG) and have sat twice on the Anglian Committee of the IFM.  I also spent five years working on or setting up fisheries in France. I also offer a consultancy service and have worked for some of the biggest names in carp fishing as well as clubs, private individuals and large private companies.

When Simon approached me about Essex Carp Baits I knew that I had to listen as having known Simon for a while I know when he does something he does it right and I found Essex Carp Baits to be no different.  Quality bait using quality ingredients only means one thing, results and I have caught right from the off, enough said.  I am also impressed by the personal service that is being offered to all anglers, to someone like myself this means a great deal. I consider being asked to be one of the team an honour and see a bright future for Essex Carp Baits.
